Day 7: home
We woke up as the rain and the heavy wind was hitting the tent. "Time to go home" we all thought. We had some breakfast and the we started to pack the tent. Off we set and first stop was the Helags mountain station a few hundred meters away. We had a coffee break here inside the warm station and bought a t-shirt for Torkel. Strengthened of this we started our quick walk back to the car. It took us about 3 hours to get back to the car. The stops we made for drinking and eating chocolate were very short as the rain and wind was hitting us. Back at the car were stretched our muscles and then jumped in the car and set off, searching for a nice place to cook some food. We drove down to Ljungdalen, up on the Flatruet again, passing Funäsdalen, passing the highest situated village in Sweden, 830 meters above sea level and drove all way down to Särna before we stopped for lunch at a Pizza place.
We called Staffan and Carin and tried to find a place to meet up with them but they decided to drive all way back to Uppsala and so did we. We stopped for icecream and petrol somewhere on the way and came back to Uppsala at 22.00 hours. The first part of our vacation was finished and the Mini made it all way! But as the gearbox started to sound strange we decided to leave the Mini in Uppsala for the next part of the vacation, but that is another story....
