sometimes I hate life
the insincerity of the people around me
the hassles and problems that arise on any given day
the sheer aggravation of it all can be overwhelming.

but then there are times,
when the sun is coming up in the morning
and I hear someone say a word that brings me back to a happier time
Before I forgot what it is to smile, to laugh, to play.

A place where I am truly at peace
and its then that I realize that I don’t hate life at all.
I just hate what it has become......
